Early in our journey, we felt a calling from God that adoption would be part of our story. As we began dating, we shared our dreams of a large family, with adoption nestled within those aspirations. Though uncertain of the exact path ahead, fast forward 14 years, and after enduring the heartache of multiple miscarriages, we confronted our grief and it became clear that adoption was the path meant for us to expand our family. Our faith has been our guiding light, reassuring us that this decision is part of God's plan for us.

Our daughter Isla's deep desire for a sibling has also strengthened our resolve to expand our family through adoption. Witnessing her longing for companionship has deepened our commitment to this journey. Drawing from our own experiences, we know the impact siblings can have in our lives, providing unwavering support and lifelong bonds. We look forward to giving Isla and her future sibling the chance to experience the joys of siblinghood together.

With hearts wide open and a profound sense of purpose, we eagerly embrace adoption becoming a cherished chapter in our family's narrative.

Both of us have careers in the finance industry and our paths crossed at work. Stephen made his introduction by offering Staci some of his beloved fig newton cookies one day in the office, sparking a connection that has blossomed into 14 years of marriage.

Our family currently includes our elementary-aged daughter, Isla, who brings immense joy to our lives. Our weekends often find us tending to our homestead or hosting cookouts with our extended family. We have a passion for exploration and enjoy immersing ourselves in different cultures through travel. Ultimately, regardless of our location, our greatest joy comes from simply being together, sharing laughter, and creating cherished memories.

Stephen's heart is truly one of the most generous I've ever known. He didn't have much growing up, but his determination to turn things around led him to put himself through college, becoming the first in his family to earn a degree. Witnessing his journey has only deepened my admiration for him and his unwavering commitment to overcoming obstacles. His experiences have shaped him into someone with an incredible passion for lifting others up and supporting in ways he wish he had been. Even though he works in finance, he's a handyman at heart, fixing things around the house or with our cars like a pro, he is always tinkering with something that needs fixed. Everyone who knows Staci would tell you she's not just kind and caring, but also an incredible listener, smart, and a ton of fun to be around. She has this natural ability to bring joy to others. Her love for travel is infectious, and she enjoys nothing more than exploring new places with family and friends by her side. Introducing our vibrant daughter, Isla! With boundless energy that mirrors her father's, she thrives in the outdoors, exploring every nook and cranny of our homestead. From tending to our garden to caring for our animals, Isla loves the freedom of farm life. But her zest doesn't stop there--she's also a budding performer, delighting us with impromptu theatrical displays fueled by her vivid imagination. She eagerly dives into every activity and experience that comes her way. From travel adventures to swimming, and theater performances to arts and crafts, Isla's curiosity and passion know no limits.

Yet, beyond her adventurous spirit, what truly sets Isla apart is her enormous, compassionate heart--a quality that promises she'll be an incredible sister to her future sibling.

Our furry family member, Stella the Australian Sheppard, brings endless cuddles and watches over our home. Mirroring the rest of our family, she is extremely affectionate and full of high energy levels.

We also share our space with Oscar our barn cat who helps keep the mice away, and a flock of chickens supplying us with farm-fresh eggs.

Family and friends hold a significant place in our hearts. Steve has two brothers and a twin sister, while Staci has a brother and sister. We also have a close-knit circle of friends and extended family. Fortunately, our families reside nearby, affording us the opportunity to connect frequently. We treasure our time together during major holidays, and also go on amazing adventures together, exploring destinations far and wide. Some of our cherished family rituals are our annual beach trips to the Outer Banks, campouts during the fall, and the oh so sweet Christmas cookie baking extravaganza.

Living adjacent to Staci's parents, we've made Friday night movies and cozy campfires a beloved weekly tradition.

A few years ago, we seized the opportunity to purchase the farmhouse previously owned by Staci's grandparents. Now we're thrilled to raise our own family in the same tight-knit community where Staci grew up. Our charming two-story brick farmhouse boasts four bedrooms and is surrounded by picturesque fields, streams, and lush woods. Our yard features a play set for endless outdoor adventures, with a clear view of Staci's parents' house just across the field.

Just a stone's throw away from our doorstep lies a recreational park featuring ball fields, walking trails, basketball courts, and a skate park--a perfect destination for family fun. While we love the serene country life, we also appreciate the convenience of nearby towns offering shopping and cultural activities.

We're a small-town family with a big passion for exploring the world. Our journey began on our honeymoon in Greece, and ever since, we've been hooked. Welcoming Isla and our future child(ren) into our lives isn't slowing us down; it's just expanding our travel party. We've even had the joy of sharing our adventures with Staci's family along the way. Always dreaming of our next big adventure, we love experiencing new places through the eyes of locals, venturing off the beaten path, and immersing ourselves in the richness of different cultures.

As you can see in some of the photos, we embrace our playful side, never shying away from being a little goofy and relishing the simple joys of life wherever our travels take us.
