Kasey + Cam

Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about us. We don't pretend to know all of the emotions on your heart, but we know that your little one is loved beyond measure. We recognize that this journey may be filled with everything from love to grief, and we are here to listen, answer questions, and champion you throughout this journey. As adoptive parents, we will provide a loving, stable, and nurturing home. We will cheer your child on as they chase and achieve their dreams, whatever those dreams may be. We will be supportive and encouraging parents as your child discovers who they are and determines who they want to be. We will always be open with them about their adoption story to honor both you and their birth family. We look forward to supporting them through all of their ups and downs, and they will always know that they are loved completely by all who are in and a part of their life. Our goal is to help them grow into caring and loving adults who can pour the love you and we will show them out into the world.

Our Story

We met while working together at a summer program when we were in college. We are both originally from Georgia, and we lived there for the first few years of our marriage. We have been married for over seven years, in all, and we celebrate being an equal partnership. We moved to Texas several years ago, and we have grown to love the state and all of its culture. We each have careers that make us happy, allow us to work in and serve our community, and are supportive of our desire to grow our family. Cam is a community planner, and Kasey Leigh is a teacher.

From the beginning of our marriage, we envisioned that adoption would be part of how we grew our family. En route, we have experienced both miscarriage and infertility, which we have processed and although still a part of us, have helped us to turn the page to begin our adoption journey at this time. We are excited to expand our family and share our unconditional love and joy with your child.

About Cam

“About Cam” Image

Growing up, Cam's parents managed to work full-time and be involved in family life. His mama drove a school bus and ran her own cleaning business, and his dad ran his own construction business. He has a younger sister who was his favorite person on the whole earth. Cam's raising showed him what unconditional love was and how it should be shared with others. In high school, Cam was Quiz Bowl captain, FFA Chapter President, in One Act Play, and played football. After college and graduate school, Cam began his career as a community planner where he enjoys getting to know people and working with them to make their community a better place.

To this day, Cam's favorite food is still his Mema's Sour Cream Pound Cake (he makes a decent version, himself). He likes to bake and smoke BBQ, and he has won a couple of awards for his homemade winemaking hobby. He enjoys rooting for his Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves (we don't talk about the Falcons), and he likes to play golf when he gets the chance.

About Kasey Leigh

“About Kasey Leigh” Image

Kasey Leigh grew up at the intersection of the city and country in Georgia. Her Mama was a school teacher, her Daddy was a salesman for a local company. Her childhood was full of love, encouragement, and quality time with her family. Her older sister now has a growing family of her own, and we could not be prouder of them. Cam makes her both smile and laugh, bringing true joy to our adventures each day, and we are always excited to create new adventures together!

Kasey Leigh loves to bake and cook fun meals, and she would contend that her grandmother's Cream Cheese Pound Cake recipe is the all-time best. She enjoys singing in groups (such as choir), going dancing, planning events, flower arranging, and cookie decorating. In her career as a teacher, Kasey Leigh has been blessed to work with students from all walks of life and to champion them as they embrace new challenges both inside and outside of the classroom.

Our Dogs

Our pups love four things: us, other people, bones, and tennis balls. Our Black-and-Tan Hound/Beagle Mix was the first dog that we adopted together. He joined our family as a ten-week old puppy when we were engaged, and he loves Kasey Leigh and fuzzy blankets like there is no tomorrow. We adopted our Chocolate Lab during the pandemic from a shelter. We don't know her exact age, but we do know that she chose us as soon as we walked in the door. She loves to eat, lounge around the house, and explore outdoors. Both pups are ready to be big brother and sister, as they love visiting and playing with other children in our lives, even napping next to our nieces and nephews when they visit. If there's one thing we know, it's that your child will be unconditionally loved by them, and any blanket in the house will be pre-warmed any time they have a say in the matter.

Family & Friends

While we currently live several states away from both of our families, we regularly visit and have them out to Texas. We celebrate holidays (Easter/Thanksgiving/Christmas), birthdays, and other special occasions either in-person or via FaceTime. When we are able to be face-to-face, we love to cook and eat together. If our nieces & nephews are having school or sport events while we are in town, we make sure to attend, cheering them on and bringing the post-game snacks. When family visits us, we explore new places, play games, and try fun restaurants together. We also enjoy relaxing with family by just sitting on the porch and catching up.

Having lived in a number of different places, we both have individual and mutual friends all over the country. We have a few social groups that we see regularly in our Texas community, including our Sunday School group, neighbors in our building, and friends from both home and our workplaces. Many of our friends have children, ranging in age from newborns to High School, and we enjoy getting to know them and being active support systems for them as they grow up!
