Chase + Katrina
Dear Expectant Mother,
We have no perfect words and no true understanding as to what you might be going through. What we do know is that we look up to you and your decision for this selfless act as a mother. It is evident that you care about your child, and that you want to do what is best for them. We hope that you and your child will always know how they came into our lives and, if you desire, continue to know who you are. Thank you for your courage and for considering us.
The Story of Us
We are Chase, Katrina, Kinsley, and Kylar. A family that is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We live for the little moments spent together. We were blessed with the birth of our daughter and adoption of our son. Yet we continue to feel the tug to grow our family through adoption. Our hope is that together, with your, your precious child will be a part of our family in order for us to love, care, and provide for their lifelong needs. We hope that you will see theh love we have for each other, our families, and our lives as you look through these pages.
We met at jr. college where we both played sports. Our relationship grew stronger as we moved to different universities in the same town. Soon after we graduated from college, we married. For 9 years we focused on maturing and enjoying dedicated time with each other as a married couple. We always knew that one day we would want to share that love with our children. Never did we imagine becoming pregnant would be so difficult. After over 2 years of trying in 2014 we were ecstatic to be pregnant! When we were ready to start for #2, we started running into the same negative results as the first time. Infertility doctors were unable to explain as to why we were unable to conceive. After 3 years of trying and much prayer, we realized that God was calling us to grow our family through adoption. Adoption has always been something that God has put on our hearts, even before we had our birth daughter Kinsley.
Meet Chase
I grew up in TX where my parents own an auto paint and body shop. I am the oldest of two siblings (Justin and Kaitlyn), to whom I am still very close to despite our age difference. I grew up playing every sport I could, all the while working in that body shop I mentioned earlier. I was young when my biological father died and blessed to be adopted by my now step-dad (who I call Dad). He, and his father (PePa), instilled a work ethic and a love for family that I still have to this day. I played collegiate baseball all 4 years in college, and decided to give up the dream of playing pro baseball to marry my smart and beautiful wife Katrina. I now coach baseball at a private high school. I love to laugh, fish, be outside, and be with my two strong girls and goofy little boy.
What Katrina Loves about Chase:
He is my best friend; always keeping me laughing. He loves his children wildly. He is a man of God. He works hard to provide but still takes time to enjoy the simple things in life. He is the man of our house. He has a tenderness for children and a passion to help them succeed. He literally will give his coat to the man on the side of the road. He is not materialistic and has an old soul. He was raised with a large loving family and believes in spending time with them. He is a people person. He is good at changing diapers and is an excellent grass cutter and trimmer. He loves the outdoors but is also an excellent cook. Your child will only continue to bring out the best in him!
Meet Katrina
I had the privilege to grow up on a farm with an extremely hardworking family. I have 3 brothers all close in age and learned to "get tough"! My mom and I developed a close relationship being outnumbered as the girls of the family. My dad & brothers had a strong influence on me and this led me to become an engineer and today work as a manager in a "man's world". My mom's entrepreneurship and "won't sit still" attitude keeps me thriving as well. We have a German heritage and both my parents came from families with 7 siblings. We love our huge family gatherings. I am extremely proud and blessed to have such a loving and close knit family. My absolute favorite thing is being a mom! This has always been my dream and I feel it is my purpose to fulfill it a different way than most. I hope to see Kinsley and Kylar share their bond and amazing love with another sibling.
What Chase Loves about Katrina:
What's not to love about Katrina? What first attracted me to Trina all those years ago was her passion for whatever she did, her enthusiasm for the outdoors, and her down to earth attitude she had all the time. She was a fun, loving, strong woman, and still is to this day! My love for her has only grown since she has become a mother. She cares deeply for our kiddos, and is dedicated to being a great wife and mother, as well as being an accomplished manager at her job. Most of all she is a strong Christian woman who teaches our daughter about the faith, and is my support through my own journey as a Christian man. Simply put: she is my best friend. I can't imagine life without her, and I love Katrina with all my heart!
