Like so many modern love stories, ours began with a simple swipe on a dating app. What started as a few lighthearted messages quickly turned into hours of conversation filled with laughter, kindness, and an undeniable connection. Our first date said it all: we shared a pizza and cheered on our favorite MLB team, and from that moment on, we knew there was something truly special between us.

Over the years, our relationship has been built on trust, partnership, and unwavering support for one another. We push each other to chase our dreams while staying grounded in love, family, and shared values.

Ashton is the chief of staff for a boutique wealth planning firm, and Shaina is a registered dental assistant. We both work hard but always make time for the people and moments that matter most. Whether it is planning trips, cooking together, or taking our dog on hikes, we prioritize making new memories and sharing experiences with those that we love.

Throughout our many years together, we have always dreamt of becoming parents. It was something we bonded over from the very beginning, and after 5 years of unsuccessful fertility treatment, we are ready to meet our baby. We know they're out there, and we're ready--ready for the sleepless nights, the early mornings, and the love that will make our family whole.

Family has always been at the center of our lives. For years, we dreamed of becoming parents and building a family together. After enduring numerous infertility challenges and heartbreak, we believe adoption isn't just our only option; it is the path we are truly meant to follow.

We believe with all our hearts that love is what makes a family. Any child we are lucky enough to parent will be cherished not just by us, but by an extended circle of relatives and friends eager to help them grow and thrive.

Our goal is to provide a home where they feel safe, encouraged to pursue their passions, and empowered to become who they are meant to be. This environment will be supported by caring friends, close-knit family members, a strong education, and loving parents.

We also recognize this journey is not just about us. It is about you, your strength, and your love. We honor the courage it takes to consider adoption and promise to respect your role in your child's story, in whatever way you choose to share it.

If I had to describe Ashton in one word, it would be dedicated. She is the hardest worker I know, whether that is in her career, her friendships, or our relationship. She gives her all to the people she loves and always follows through on her promises.

Ashton is also incredibly fun. She can turn the most ordinary moment into something special, whether it is making up silly songs in the kitchen or turning a grocery store run into an adventure. Kids adore her because she meets them at their level with patience and curiosity. This is evident in her close relationships with her nieces and nephews who consider her to be a second mom and who turn to her when they need help or just to have fun.

She is an athlete at heart, having played almost every sport imaginable growing up, and I know she will be the kind of mom who is on the sidelines of every game cheering the loudest. But beyond that, she will teach our child to believe in themselves, to be kind, and to never give up because that is who she is.

She has a deep well of patience and warmth that makes her a natural caregiver. Kids are drawn to her because they can feel her kindness, and she will be the kind of mom who makes everyday moments magical.

Her own adoption story has shaped the way she sees family, not as something defined by biology but by love, commitment, and showing up for each other. She has taught me that family is built through the moments we share, and I cannot wait to see her pour that love into our child.

Ashton comes from a close-knit family that values tradition, laughter, and quality time together. The grandparents, along with Ashton's siblings, nieces, and nephews, are all eagerly waiting for a new grandbaby and are ready to offer love, babysitting, and unwavering support.

Shaina's understanding of family was shaped by her own adoption story. When she was six months old, her father adopted her and four of her siblings, teaching her early on that love is what truly builds a family. She grew up in a home filled with strong, supportive connections and still gathers regularly with her parents and siblings for casual get-togethers, potlucks, and game nights. Her big, welcoming family cannot wait to welcome a new little one.

Our home is filled with laughter, food, and love. We live in a warm, family-friendly neighborhood with great schools, beautiful parks, and a close-knit community. Our house is welcoming, with a dedicated nursery, plenty of space to grow and play, and grandparents just 5 minutes down the road.

We envision a home where childhood is filled with simple joys: building forts in the living room, sharing bedtime stories under the stars, and playing games in the backyard. We also believe in a steady routine that nurtures healthy growth and encourages our child to discover their passions at school. More than anything, we want it to be a place where our child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to dream big.

Our home would not be complete without our furry family members, Truffle & Saffron. They bring so much joy and are always ready for snuggles and playtime. We believe growing up with animals teaches kindness, responsibility, and unconditional love. With our many nieces and nephews around, we already know they are great with kids.

We love to travel, whether it is a spontaneous weekend trip or an international adventure. Exploring new places has taught us to appreciate different cultures, step outside our comfort zones, and create unforgettable memories.

But our biggest adventure yet is parenthood. We cannot wait to share the wonders of the world with our child, teaching them about kindness, curiosity, and the joy of discovering something new.
